Movies Are Hard To Watch Standing Up

Parker M. says:I have a hard time watching movies while standing. I think its impossible to enjoy movies while doing anything but sitting.
I think we can all agree that movies are difficult to watch while standing.
Granted, this really only applies to full feature-length movies; commercials and short films don’t count (and their not really movies).
I’ve given this some thought, you know, because thats what I do. Few situations cause one to watch a movie while standing up. I’m thinking of one such situation, one which I was privileged to enjoy repeatedly throughout my childhood.
Shopping at the fabric store with my mom.
Of course, I was not fortunate enough to have a movie at these dire times. Instead I was forced to peruse the catalogs looking at random dress designs and colorful pictures depicting the final product of given patterns.
These ordeals would generally last 4-6 hours at a time, and were usually snuck into an innocent trip to the grocery store. And the grocery store has candy, so of course I wanted to go when Mom went to the grocery store. Not that I was able to eat any of the candy, but I liked to watch it and imagine myself with it.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, yes, movies can be enjoyable to watch while standing. It just needs the proper situation to contrast the generally unpleasant feeling of tired legs.
