Ponder Place

Dear Readers,

In light of recent events, I’ve decided a few changes are needed.

Since rejuvenating ponderplace.com from that awfully long break, we here at ponderplace.com have been focusing on delivering a consistency in our content delivery.

Previous to the break I was posting daily, which was great, lots of stuff to read. Unfortunately it required more time than I had once I began work on my second project. Poor planning on my part. And I paid for it, as the regular visitors lost faith in ponderplace.com, thus we almost have to start over earning your trust.

In the resurrection, I managed to recruit my long time friend Marcus (see his “about the author” on this page). There were several reasons for doing this.

Firstly, anybody who hopes to write for ponderplace.com must have certain traits to qualify them for the job. For me, I started the whole thing, so I pretty much get a free pass. Everybody else has to work for their ponderplace position. They need to be funny, witty, think lots of smart things, and get lots of women. Knowing Marcus for as long as I have, I already knew he had these talents, no contest.

Aside from the obvious benefit of diversification in writing. The reason I wanted another writer was to lighten the weight of ponderplace.com.

With the current planned production cycle, we expect to have two written pieces a week, along with a video. And initially (up until today), i’d planned on publishing written works on Monday and Wednesday. And having the video for Friday.

Unfortunately video’s are a whole lot of work to film and edit. So the new plan is to publish video’s on Monday’s, and written works on Wednesdays and Fridays. This leaves the whole weekend with which I can spend all my time working on Monday’s video.

I hope to eventually ramp things up to a daily posting cycle. however, that is not something I’m going to press. As I don’t want to bite off more than i can chew with everything that is going on in my non-ponderplace.com life.
