kill the tangerine

Steven, why do I dream of you all night? I’m not a homosexual, I promise! I just have these dreams of stealing your tangerines. And then I kill you, is that weird?

Going back to my writing about being a good person. It would seem I am unable to make such “judgment” of your character (you being weird). But you did pose the question. So I’ll answer it.

Is it weird that you want to kill me?

Not at all.

A dominant side effect of success is the product of enemies; enemies that often time would wish to end the succeeding subject’s life. In this I am grateful to you. If it were not for you and anyone else out there who wishes to kill me, I’d be unable to fully realize success.

I am surprised to find someone interested in killing me so early into the game. I am unable to identify any solid success that would naturally elicit such desires in others. Surely it could not be Ponderplace.com. I’ve yet to reach the mainstream masses. Not that its a goal per se, but it is one sign of success.

You have me with the tangerines. I’m pretty sure that places you solidly in the weird category. Perhaps if you were to supply me with further information as to why you have such desires as to steal my tangerines. Also, what happens if you do not find tangerines on my person? Unless of course, I’m completely missing the point, and the tangerines are simply a metaphor?
