Now imagine this if you were Emo.
Walking outside, same beautiful world, you look up, and see a black sky.
Oh the perfect remorse you would feel. The sky would act as a vacuum to your already dwindling hope for the future. It would cause all memories of childhood to become bleak, and likely force them to be recalled only in black and white. The compulsion to empty this remorse via slit wrists…it would move beyond your control.
Truly, mass suicide would be just another part of society. Like obesity, or environmentalists.
The sky is as you see it (blue) in an effort, put on by Mother Nature, to curb the population of Emo kids. Using the great blue to nurture those Emo kids past their youthful tendencies to cry and cut.
Look at it like a sales package. If life had “black skies” to offer as a sales point, I’m confident a much larger portion of the populous would buy into the Emo mentality. That simply wouldn’t do.
